1. PRIMARY PURPOSE - 

The primary purpose of Accounts Receivable is to input customer payments, purchases, and expenditures for the company. Making sure that all payments incoming are being accurately accounted for and paid in a timely manner. 

2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - (90%)

Account Receivable: 

• Processing and reconciling customer payments made both by phone and checks.
• Opening and maintaining customer A/R charge accounts following company set policy.
• Prepare and sent out monthly A/R statements both mail and email. Following up with past due accounts in accordance with company policy. Sending accounts to 3rd party for collection if necessary.
• Set up and maintain customer accounts as needed.
• Review all credit applications for credit approval by checking references and making sure the credit application is filled out in it entirety. 
• Assist with monthly AR close
• Ensure efficient and timely collection of payments
• Maintain accurate customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Provide exceptional customer service regarding collections
• Provide management with the month AR report 

3. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – (10%)

• Maintain certification and schedule ODOT required medical screening for Trucking dept.
• Back up receptionist as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

5. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - 

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Typically requires 2-4 years of experience or degree focusing in business/ accounting.

· Proficient at exporting, manipulating and importing excel files between software systems.
