Position Overview:

Courtesy Chevrolet, a Courtesy Automotive Group dealership, is seeking a Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. You will be responsible for working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining positive relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following below, as well as other responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate and send accurate and timely invoices to customers.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Process payments received and apply them to customer accounts.
• Reconcile discrepancies in customer accounts and resolve billing issues.
• Communicate with customers to address inquiries and resolve payment disputes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes.
• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and performance.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an accounts receivable clerk or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues independently.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives is a plus Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check.
