As a leader, the AR Manager will provide direct oversight of the Accounts Receivable team and processes. He or she will troubleshoot collection issues relating to delinquent invoices and unauthorized deductions and be responsible for customer and credit management. They will also support the Accounts Receivable team with other escalated or system related issues. WHAT YOU’LL OWN:
People Management
• Provide leadership, support, and monitor priorities of the AR team.
• Assist in management functions, including hiring, evaluating performance coaching, people development, cross training, succession planning, as well as annual reviews.
Process Management
• Responsible for:
o New customer onboarding and implementation.
o AR aging and credit management oversight.
o TradeSpend/Deduction oversight.
o Allowance for bad debt management.
o EDI Management.
• Troubleshoot issues in areas of responsibility.
• Provide support with creating, documenting, maintaining, and optimizing various AR processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Effectively partner across all areas and functions of the business as needed.
• Work with trade marketing team in collaboration with trade spend and accounting for deductions.
• Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5 years of AR experience, CPG experience preferred.
• 3 years of experience managing people and teams, preferred.
• General knowledge of GAAP.
• Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and problem solving.
• Proficient in developing and maintaining spreadsheets and reports utilizing multiple data sources.
• Experience improving workflow processes.
• Ability to resolve problems in a unique and challenging customer environment.
• Demonstrate professional and effective written and verbal communication skills.
