    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Billing and Accounts Receivable to join our Finance Team. The Manager of Billing and Accounts Receivable will be responsible for managing a team of Billing & Collections Analysts, overseeing the billing and collections process for our recurring revenue model, and working collaboratively with teams in other office locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in subscription billing and collections, strong project management skills, data-driven decision-making abilities, and a customer-centric approach to billing and collections.

     

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the billing and accounts receivable collections team in Seattle, including coaching, training, and performance management of team members 
    • Ensure timely and accurate billing and collections for our recurring revenue model, with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention 
    • Collaborate with or lead cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, and Finance, to resolve billing and collections issues and optimize processes 
    • Monitor and report on key billing and collections metrics, using data to drive decision-making and process improvements 
    • Work with offshore teams to ensure consistent processes and practices across regions 
    • Conduct regular audits of billing and collections processes and documentation to ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations 
    • Manage special projects related to billing and collections, including system upgrades and process improvements 
    • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting 
    • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors 
    • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested 

     

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience required 
    • 7 years previous experience in billing and accounts receivable collections, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role 
    • Strong project management skills and experience leading process improvement initiatives 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
    • Customer-centric approach to billing and collections, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service 
    • Experience with Salesforce and Oracle enterprise resource planning preferred 
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making 
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

    Compensation

    • Annual base salary: $120,000-$130,000
    • Target annual bonus percentage: 12%

     

    *Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location. 

     

    Working Conditions:

    The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
