Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding operations in the accounts receivable function of an organization. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Receivable Supervisor monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Additionally, Accounts Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and controls. Generates reports to bring insight into collections, account ages, and other relevant metrics and relays conclusions to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Accounts Receivable Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The Supervisor, Accounts Receivable will be responsible for all revenue and accounts receivable transactions in SAP to support the Finance Department’s monthly quarterly and annual reporting processes. Invoice certain customers and collaborate with the commercial team and management to ensure receivables are collected in a timely manner.
Education Requirements:
4-Year college degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Experience Requirements:
Requires 5 years of professional related work experience. Experience in pharmaceutical or distribution industries preferred. Requires proficiency in ERP and MS Office applications (SAP or other Tier I ERP applications, Excel, Word). Must be financial/detail oriented, possess excellent analytical abilities and be customer oriented. Must possess excellent communication skills.
