Job Overview:

We are looking for a versatile asset to a growing sales team. The AR clerk should be flexible between customer service, organizational skills, as well as part-time going through new hire applications and resumes. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Clerk. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining customer accounts, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting and a passion for numbers.

Responsibilities:

- Process and record accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner

- Prepare and send invoices to customers

- Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve any billing discrepancies

- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies or issues

- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements

- Perform account analysis and assist with month-end closing activities

- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer inquiries or issues

- Assist with other accounting tasks as assigned

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping principles

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors

- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel

- Familiarity with telemarketing techniques for collections is a plus

- Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations accurately

- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

- Familiarity with journal entries and accounts payable processes

- Understanding of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance requirements
