Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding operations in the accounts receivable function of an organization. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Receivable Supervisor monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Additionally, Accounts Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and controls. Generates reports to bring insight into collections, account ages, and other relevant metrics and relays conclusions to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Accounts Receivable Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Clerk. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining customer accounts, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting and a passion for numbers.

    Responsibilities:

    - Process and record accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner

    - Prepare and send invoices to customers

    - Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve any billing discrepancies

    - Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies or issues

    - Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements

    - Perform account analysis and assist with month-end closing activities

    - Maintain accurate records of financial transactions

    - Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer inquiries or issues

    - Assist with other accounting tasks as assigned

    Skills:

    - Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping principles

    - Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors

    - Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel

    - Familiarity with telemarketing techniques for collections is a plus

    - Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations accurately

    - Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

    - Familiarity with journal entries and accounts payable processes

    - Understanding of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance requirements
