Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding operations in the accounts receivable function of an organization. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Receivable Supervisor monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Additionally, Accounts Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and controls. Generates reports to bring insight into collections, account ages, and other relevant metrics and relays conclusions to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Accounts Receivable Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Who We Want:

    The Accounts Receivable Supervisor provides financial, administrative, and clerical support to maintain accurate preparation of invoices. They will ensure customer accounts are controlled by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling customer payments and debits according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. The position must possess excellent problem-solving skills.

    What You'll Do:

    • Oversee daily invoicing for appropriate documentation
    • Review application and reconciliation of customer payments
    • Initiate discussions with customers regarding past due invoices according to customer and payment terms
    • Respond to customer inquiries
    • Oversee and participate in customer aging follow-up and related discrepancy investigation
    • Process customer debits and follow up with individual Plants on a weekly & monthly basis
    • Facilitate weekly corporate debit meetings
    • Assist in month end closing in the Accounts Receivable module
    • Update zero-dollar invoices with correct pricing
    • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting practices
    • Regularly communicate payment details, KPI's, and customer past due amounts with Management
    • Engage in conversations and investigations of more complex issues with customers
    • Generate requested audit selections
    • Supervise the Accounts Receivable team & applicable AR processes
    • Assist with other projects and Ad Hoc Reporting as needed

    When and Where:

    This will be an 8:30 AM- 5 PM M-F position located at our Corporate Office in Walker, MI. (Hybrid schedule available)

    What You Need to Have:

    • High school diploma
    • 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience
    • College courses in accounting preferred
    • Advanced Excel skills preferred
    • Experience with PLEX ERP preferred
    • Automotive industry experience preferred
    • Experience with multiple location AR processing preferred
    • Has high standards of performance for self
    • Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes
