Indiana Masonic Home Compass Park is looking to add to our Activities Team. Compass Park is a vast 320-acre community in the heart of Johnson County adjacent to Indianapolis. It is a vibrant community through all seasons and a place of beauty, rich in tall trees and winding footpaths. This job is in Franklin, IN.

Activity Director Responsibilities:

• Conduct orientation and annual performance evaluations for staff also provide staff training outside of specified discipline.
• Survey and monitor the recreation/leisure program and recommend changes or modifications as required.
• Plan, direct, and carry out Special Events through the year. Maintain allowed budget given for Special Events.  Coordinate and order activity supplies, live entertainment and/or other group outings.
• Continued education for AD and the Activities Department through the NAAP and NCCAP when approved by ED or CEO.
• Maintain records for Resident Council while acting as a liaison. Maintain confidentiality while receiving complaints and concerns.  Also promote a positive public appearance with residents, families, and the general public.
• Plan monthly calendar according to guidelines set (State and Federal). Attend Care Conference meetings when scheduled. Assess residents upon Admission, Quarterly Review, Annual Review, and Discharge. Develop plan of care according to each resident’s personal needs.
• Assist AA and AC when assistance is required with group activities, and other departmental needs arise.
• Assists in maintaining regulatory compliance with ISDH, OSHA, and various other Federal/State Regulatory Agencies. Attends all required Facility in-services and maintain compliance with OSHA, ISDH, and various other federal and state regulatory agencies.
• Maintain volunteer records, animal shots, therapeutic programs, and license information. Keep W-9 up to date on performers.
• Maintain volunteer program including but not limited to training, paperwork, tours, and outings.

Activity Director Requirements:

• Must have completed a 90-hour Activity Director Course as required by the Indiana State Department of Health
• Must have experience in Activities Department in a Skilled Nursing Facility
• Prefer College Degree
• Equivalent work will be considered in lieu of college degree
