Pinnacle Health and Rehabilitation North Berwick is currently seeking an Activity Director for our skilled nursing and long-term rehabilitation center. The Activity Director is responsible for developing and coordinating an activities program that reflects the varied interests of the residents and provides them with meaningful and enriching activities. This position will be responsible for assessing each resident’s activity needs, developing an activity program to meet those needs and determining the resources needed to do so.
REPONSIBILITIES:

19. Passionately motivate and serve residents of varying cognitive and physical abilities
20. Interact with families and visitors of our residents
21. Carries out diverse duties with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Therapeutic recreation specialist or is eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body or is a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant or who currently holds an Activity Coordinator Certification in the state of Maine.
2. Knowledge of resident assessments, MDSs and care planning required.
3. Minimum of two year’s experience in geriatrics and/or rehabilitation required.
4. Prior training in psychosocial behavior helpful.
