Activity Specialist organizes and provides program content for social events for an organization or group of people. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being an Activity Specialist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Activity Specialist performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. The duties of the Activity Director include: developing and implementing a program of physical, mental and spiritual activities, which will assist the residents to live life as fully and as naturally as possible. To maintain and/or restore their physical and mental capacities in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures and as may be directed by your supervisor. Lastly, to assure that a successful Activity program is maintained at all times.
