A Gathering Place Adult Day Health Care provides a safe, entertaining, stimulating, and supervised group environment designed for adults age 21 and older who may be unable to live independently. Our program is ideal for adults who need assistance, may be disabled, or chronically ill but prefer to live at home.

Job Title: Adult Day Health Care Associate - Non-Exempt, Employment-at-will
Definition of Position: This position assists clients in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADL), including life skills, reality orientation, games, arts & crafts, feeding assistance, and other tasks in order to foster the highest level of independence for the individual client.
Qualifications:
1. Must have High School Diploma or GED.
2. Must be able to understand and follow directions.
3. Must be dependable.
4. Prefer at least two years working with the elderly.
5. Must be able to follow direct directions of the Executive Director and ADHC Director.
6. Must be CPR and First Aid certified.
7. HIPPA Compliant. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
8. Must be able to work well with all staff.
9. Must be professional at all times, and dressed in appropriate attire with name tag.
Duties: The duties described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job, including, but not limited to the following:
1. Assist with ambulating and exercise.
2. Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services, (physical, occupational and speech.)
3. Assist client when toileting if needed; including adult disposable undergarments cleanup due to clients incontinent of bowel/bladder.
4. Must be able to follow direct instruction of both the Adult Day Health Care Director.
5. Assist with therapeutic games/activities for clients as listed on the schedule of activities; orientation games, work puzzles, music therapy, craft and mental stimulating activities.
6. Assist with preparation of snacks and breakfasts, and assisting or feeding clients that need help. Wash and sanitize tables after meals or crafts.
7. Be able to work with all staff. Directly responsible to the ADHC Director.
8. Assist with cleaning of all areas of Adult Day Health Care.
9. Other tasks as assigned by the ADHC Director or Executive Director.
