Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being an Activity Specialist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Activity Specialist performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. - Drama/Literacy Instructor - Management of all literacy and drama activities, inventory and management of literacy and drama supplies, equipment, creation and management of all literacy and drama programs.
- Covid Vaccine Required
- At least 18 years of age.
- Possess skills including supervision of staff, organizational, and knowledge of summer camp activities and working with children.
- Two years of Camp work experience.
- Person must possess values consistent with the mission of the YMCA.
- Current certification in, or willingness to train in First Aid or Standard First Aid and CPR required within 30 days of hire.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
