JOB SUMMARY:
The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the building lobby by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
1 year related office experience is preferred.
Current CPR certification through AHA or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
SKILLS are required to perform multiple, routine tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment, including pertinent software applications; note taking; preparing and maintaining accurate records; coordinating activities, equipment and people.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percentages, and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: business telephone etiquette; concepts of grammar and punctuation; modern office practices and procedures; and compliance laws and regulations.
ABILITY is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; routinely gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; and operate equipment using defined methods. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.
Welcomes and directs visitors, parents and students.
Maintains filing systems as assigned.
Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.
Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.
Coordinates and schedules meetings and appointments for managers or supervisors.
Receives and distributes packages and mail.
Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment.
Collects purchase order requests, obtains signatures and orders supplies.
Contacts clients to discuss payment plans for overdue accounts.
Serves as substitute coordinator for the facility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 75% sitting, 10% walking, 15% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
