Administrative Services Supervisor supervises the daily operation of one or more support services for an organization, including clerical services, office space, equipment and supplies, vendor management and other support services. Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations. Being an Administrative Services Supervisor ensures compliance with established corporate standards and may be responsible for reviewing and evaluating the work and performance of subordinates. May require an associate degree. Additionally, Administrative Services Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Administrative Services Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. JOB SUMMARY: Provide prompt, courteous customer service, which meets or exceeds service standards. Utilize applicable policy forms, insurance law and internal procedures to answer inquiries and process requests from customers. Thoroughly document telephone calls, changes and written correspondence.
The ideal candidate will be local as this position is on-site at this time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned as necessary):
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. To do this, the following skills and abilities are required: Ability to communicate well. Ability to follow written instructions. Ability to document calls with accuracy and clarity of content. Ability to abruptly change tasks. Problem-solving and attention to detail skills are necessary. Reliability is extremely important. A rate of 40 WPM is preferred. Honesty and respect for the company and its policies & procedures is required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Customer Service experience in an office setting required. Insurance background preferred. PC, Windows, Word experience preferred. Excel experience a plus.
