Francis Marion University invites applications for the position of Coordinator of Orientation and Admissions Events, who will plan and coordinate Admissions events including, but not limited to, New Student Orientation and Open House.
The Coordinator will report to the Director of Admissions and will also work closely with the Vice President for Enrollment Management. The primary responsibilities of the Coordinator will be to plan, implement and evaluate New Student Orientation programming and to advise and supervise approximately thirty temporary student employees known as Orientation Leaders. The selected candidate will also consult with prospective students and will evaluate prospective student admission applications for graduate students. In addition, the Coordinator will be available to answer questions about financial assistance, admissions, registration, housing, academics, and related areas.

FMU Requirements: Ability to work independently toward assigned goals; ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a variety of diverse audiences; ability to travel occasionally and work a flexible schedule, with monthly weekend work; must have valid Driver’s License.
FMU Preferences: Some experience in college admissions work, orientation, and/or event planning; knowledge of FMU’s admission and financial assistance policies and procedures; some supervisory experience.
