    Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Ballston Spa, NY. Interested?

    Here's what you'd do:

    • Performs various tasks in production assembly operations on electronic or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
    • Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts and uses hand or power tools, jigs, and saws.
    • Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
    • Conduct quality inspections on the processing line by quality specifications.
    • Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
    • Weld and fabricate parts as instructed.
    • Set up machines and perform intricate close tolerance fabrication.
    • Fabricate parts by standards and procedures.
    • Assembles electrical/mechanical assemblies/products and installs components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings.
    • Reads and interprets electrical diagrams/drawings and executes the assembly of electrical equipment.
    • Shall qualify to weld by the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Process (TIG), and Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), on aluminum, mild, and stainless steel
    • Qualify and weld by company standards, and AWS D1.1 in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions for plate and 6G position for pipe (testing be x-ray verified)
    • Perform a variety of tasks in production assembly operations on electronic or mechanical assembly and sub-assemblies
    • Work from diagrams and drawings and use hand or power tools, jigs, and saws
    • Assemble parts per engineering instruction/documentation

    Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 / hr.

    Hours: 9/80 hrs/Week (1st shift)

    Length: Temp (12 Months)

    Job Requirements
    Required Skills / Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in welding, assembling, and hardware installation in a manufacturing environment by Military Standards

    Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
    • Know basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
    • Able to read and comprehend written material, including blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
    • Able to understand and follow verbal instructions

    Additional Information:

    • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
    • Willing to travel for multiple weeks at a time
    • Able to lift up to 50lbs and carry up to 25lbs
    • Needs bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and pushing/pulling of heavy parts and occasional work in confined areas
    • Able to pass vision testing to Jaeger 1, with or without corrective lenses
    • Active Secret DoD Clearance
