Admitting Clerk performs routine registration, data collection, and administrative tasks to admit patients to a healthcare facility. Inputs patient demographic information into the designated system, collects and validates insurance or financial information. Being an Admitting Clerk reviews paperwork and obtains all necessary consents and signatures from patients or family. Explains the facility's policies and procedures and answers routine questions. Additionally, Admitting Clerk coordinates patient intake and bed assignment processes with clinical or administrative teams. Follows all established policies and standards to preserve patient confidentiality, ensure data security and comply with all applicable regulations. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Admitting Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Admit our patients to skilled nursing facilities in Arundel County and Greater Baltimore at your convenience. Admit one or more patients on your own schedule, visiting only the facilities that you choose. Collections are tabulated and paid out monthly.
No call required - our very experienced advanced practice providers manage the patients and will let you know when they have an admission.
Monthly long term care visits are also available.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will be geriatric fellowship trained or boarded in geriatrics. However, we will consider any physician with prior geriatric experience or is open to working in the post-acute setting.
