Develops and maintains standardized processes for admission procedures to ensure accurate data collection, a positive patient experience, and effective coordination between clinical and administrative teams. Being an Admitting Director analyzes operational metrics to improve processes, increase efficiency, or correct problems. Establishes policies and standards to preserve patient confidentiality, ensure data security and comply with all applicable regulations. Additionally, Admitting Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Admitting Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Admitting Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.       Highland Community College is accepting applications for a Director, TRIO Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC). This full-time, grant funded position will ensure that the EOC program is implemented in full compliance with the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008, the EOC Program regulations, and all other applicable federal regulations and requirements. Responsibilities include managing the implementation of the project's activities, goals, and objectives; developing, monitoring and managing grant funds and program budget; training, supervising and evaluating the work performance of assigned staff; conducting research and planning necessary to facilitate program evaluation and reporting; and leading the EOC Advisory Board and actively participating as a member of the grant proposal design and development team

      Master’s degree in higher education, social work, counseling, education, or related field, and two (2) years of experience designing, managing, or implementing EOC, TRIO, or similar programs that serve underrepresented groups, preferably low-income, disabled, and/or first-generation students, with prior experience in a supervisory role. Personal background of overcoming barriers that are similar to participants preferred. A valid driver’s license is required. This position requires a criminal background check.
