POSITION SUMMARY
The University of Sioux Falls Athletic program seeks a qualified individual for a full-time Director of Strength and Conditioning to help in all phases of a successful athletic program. USF is a member of NCAA Division II and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Strength and Conditioning
The Director of Strength and Conditioning would be responsible for the strength and conditioning program at the University. Together with full-time assistants and other part-time coaches, a successful candidate would work with over 500 student-athletes in 19 NCAA DII sports, making sure the student-athletes are trained, using best practices and safe techniques in an organized, well-managed program. The candidate would coordinate and implement, plan, and manage all in-season and out-of-season player development and strength conditioning, including both team and individual programming. The candidate would also work to implement all aspects of training, including scheduling, technique training, and goal setting. The candidate would adhere to USF, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, and NCAA DII rules and regulations. The position would include supervision of additional strength coaches, work cooperatively with coaches, athletic training, and report directly to the Athletic Director.
Administrative
Administrative duties include record-keeping, scheduling, policy and procedures, and communication with coaches, athletic trainers, student-athletes, and administrators. Coordinate budget needs under the supervision of the Athletic Director. Serve as the liaison of the athletic complex, perform facility monitoring, and report maintenance and other repair needs to appropriate departments.
