    JOB DESCRIPTION:



    JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for accurate and timely receiving, shipping and inventory reconciliation with all Departments. Delivery of product as needed. Keep Warehouse cleaned and organized. Responsible for quality control and freshness of all stored goods by implementing FIFO (First In, First Out concept).

    • Reports on time, ready to work at station as posted on schedule.
    • Maintain a positive attitude and communicate well with team members and guests.
    • Must be self-directed and proactive; ability to work well with all Casino Hotel departments.
    • Works closely with Warehouse Inventory Agent, Chefs and Department Management to ensure required products are delivered per inventory/purchase requisition.
    • Demonstrate on a daily basis; good personal hygiene, work station sanitation and consistent practice of key HACCP and FIFO regulations.
    • Maintain sanitation levels in accordance with Yakama Nation, local and state of WA health department regulations.
    • Exercise proper radio etiquette.
    • Practice safety standards and report any unsafe working conditions to the appropriate Management.
    • Assure that all food is labeled after being received for proper food rotation and to meet sanitation standards.
    • Ensures sanitary food handling procedures are adhered to.
    • Ensure full compliance with the Depts. Internal Controls, policies, procedures and regulations.
    • Check in items purchased for Casino Hotel.
    • Inspect and verify weight, quality, quantity, freshness and price for each item delivered. Reconcile shipment to order placed and if satisfactory accept and store items following the sanitation codes and rules.
    • Keep and store shellfish tags as required by Local and Federal sanitation regulations.
    • Put away inventory in appropriate storage areas (i.e. walk-in cooler, walk-in freezer, outside dry storage, kitchen, deli, etc).
    • Able to maintain Daily Log Book for items added and deleted for Log-Book.
    • Before rejecting or returning an item, MUST notify immediate supervisor if there is a discrepancy on weight, quality or invoice.
    • Manual inventory all items and documents the inventory.
    • Responsible for “easy to read” dating of perishable and proper daily rotation of perishables prioritizing daily, produce, seafood and fresh meats.
    • Must coordinate break and lunch times to make sure a Warehouse Inventory Agent/ Clerk is ALWAYS available.
    • Use proper etiquette when dealing with guests.
    • Proactively helps guests resolve concerns; particularly when the guest has not been satisfied and strives for win-win resolutions.
    • Models for the team, a strong work ethic and is visible, available and present for the guest and their team.
    • Builds relationships inside and outside of their department/team to improve ways of working and provide a great guest experience.
    • Finds ways to make good use of their strengths and talents.
    • Views themselves as responsible for their contributions and remains self-aware of themselves.
    • Actively seeks to build new skills, teaches others and shares best practices.
    • Flexibility is required to work all shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays or when monthly inventory is required.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:



    SUPERVISION EXCERCISED: None.


    LICENSE REQUIRED: Must obtain and hold a Class II gaming license while employed and complete an annual background check with TGA.


    MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR POSITION: High school diploma or GED required. Current valid Food Handlers card or HACCP certification is required. Must be certified in ServSafe Sanitation or MUST obtain the ServSafe certification within 90 days of being hired.

    One year of related warehouse and/or shipping and receiving experience required.


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to lift 75 pounds. Manual dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork. Position requires ability to withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures. Must adhere to safe lifting and carrying procedures. Occasionally required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance. Requires ability to lift light/moderate/heavy items up to 75 pounds without assistance. Requires ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds with assistance. Noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. When on the gaming floor, the noise level increases and there is exposure to a smoke filled environment.


    WORK HAZARDS: Exposure to heavy equipment, hot surfaces, wet floors, heavy lifting, sharp objects or utensils, kitchen and truck noise, exposed to truck fumes and Casino smoke.


    SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR POSITION: Able to communicate in a positive and professional manner. Must be detail oriented. Able to work well alone and with limited supervision. Must be able to work under pressure and manage time effectively. Must be able to work a variety of hours and at peak delivery times. Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements. Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and the Infinium software system for purchase orders. Ability to operate forklift and electric and manual pallet jack. Material Management System (MMS) experience is of added value.
