Admitting Manager manages the day-to-day patient admissions and access operations, staff, policies, and practices. Maintains standardized admission processes to ensure accurate data collection, a positive patient experience, and effective coordination between clinical and administrative teams. Being an Admitting Manager monitors operational metrics to improve processes, increase efficiency, or correct problems. Establishes policies and standards to preserve patient confidentiality, ensure data security and comply with all applicable regulations. Additionally, Admitting Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Admitting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Work Schedule: This position is anticipated to work Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. In addition, the schedule will include occasional half days on Saturdays.

    Duties:

    • Serve as Receptionist for our facility. Answer and route calls for all hospital departments.
    • Register patients accurately. Maintain all admitting information at 95% accuracy.
    • Perform data entry for patient account set up. Process billing paperwork for outpatient departments, including the Emergency Department.
    • Process both incoming and outgoing mail.
    • Process daily deposits. Receive payments and maintain cash drawer.
    • Process primary and secondary bills.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all patient and employee information to ensure patient and employee rights are protected in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    1. High school diploma required.
    2. Previous admitting/receptionist experience in a similar setting is strongly preferred.
    3. Prior customer experience and interacting with the public is required.
    4. Must be able to accurately balance daily deposits - math aptitude required.
    5. Must be able to organize, multi-task, and prioritize daily work tasks.
    6. Must possess proficient computer skills.
    7. Must possess interpersonal skills that align with CM's Shared Values.
