Adult Day Care Director creates and directs programs that address the health, psychosocial, and educational needs of older individuals and their caregivers and that provide clients a safe, secure, and positive daily experience. Responsible for recruiting, training, and retention of qualified staff. Being an Adult Day Care Director manages the financial operations for the center including billing, reimbursements, and budgets. Performs assessments of prospective clients to determine if programs will meet their needs. Additionally, Adult Day Care Director coordinates with caregivers, families, social services agencies, and medical professionals to plan clients program of care. Monitors programs to ensure effectiveness, quality care, compliance with applicable regulations and standards, and to identify areas for improvement or expanded program offerings. May be a RN with experience in gerontology. Requires a bachelor's degree of social science or a directly related field. Typically reports to top management. The Adult Day Care Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Adult Day Care Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Duties

    ·       Compliance with OEC, School Readiness, NAEYC, Care4Kids and its’ regulations and policies.

    ·       Ensures quality supervision and safety of all aspects of programs.

    ·       Lead all aspects of the Child Development programming, including supervision, coordination, promotion, parent relations, school relations, curriculum, scheduling, enrollment, and evaluation.

    ·       Support teachers in implementing the curriculum by enriching their knowledge of child development, classroom management, instruction, and culture.

    ·       Training new staff members and providing them with an orientation that defines all aspects of program operation.

    ·       Hiring, evaluating, observing, and terminating of staff.

    ·       Maintain personnel professional development plans to ensure staff has continuous quality improvement. Provide effective tours to potential families to drive enrollment.

    ·       Develop resources to expand programs and enhance family involvement.

    ·       Delegate appropriate responsibility involved in day-to-day operations.


    PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS:

    ·       Move around the room to assist children and supervise children with daily activities, social interaction, physical and emotional needs, including sitting on the floor, kneeling, bending, and crouching.

    ·       Lift young children and objects up to 40 lbs.


    Requirements

    ·       Associate / bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education

    ·       Knowledge of OEC, School Readiness, NAEYC, and Care4Kids regulations and policies.

    ·       Computer proficiency with Microsoft Applications
