Performance Responsabilities:
1. Coordinates and hires full-time instructors, part-time instructors, and assists with orientation and professional development education to staff.
2. Manages and coordinates the General Education Development (GED) program and serve’s as the District’s Chief Examiner.
3. Negotiates and coordinates classroom and office facility use with principals and others.
4. Organizes and supervises Integrated Education and Training (IET) classes and develops additional (IET) programs to meet community needs.
5. Prepares schedules, forms, brochures, handbooks, and procedures to effectively operate the programs.
6. Assists with the preparation of program records, documentation of student progress, audit materials and Work Force accounting.
7. Conducts annual evaluation of the adult education and IET programs offered.
8. Writes, monitors, and evaluates the Adult General Education (AGE) and the Integrated Education Literacy Comprehensive Education (IELCE) grants.
9. Coordinates activities with the Director of charlotte Technical College.
10. Participates in job fairs and special events for purpose of program promotions for local and community organizations.
11. Assists with the fiscal operation of collecting and receipting tuition and material fees, and the ordering of supplies relative to daytime/evening programs.
12. Monitors the fees collected and the expenses paid (salaries, materials, etc.) to ensure that the program covers its costs.
13. Performs other job-related functions as assigned.
