COMMERCIAL AND ADVERTISING ART TEACHER (CIP 50.0402)
For the 2024-2025 School Year

REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum of 4 years’ trade experience in all phases of commercial and advertising art including:
o Applied visual arts using artistic techniques to effectively communicate ideas and information to business and consumer audiences via illustrations and other forms of printed media.
o Includes instruction in concept design, layout, paste-up, and techniques such as engraving, etching, silkscreen, lithography, offset, drawing and cartooning, painting, collage and computer graphics
· High School Diploma required.
· Good human relations and written/verbal communication skills required.
· Ability to relate well with young people in a supportive role.
· Working knowledge of computer applications.
· Eligible to obtain PDE-related Act 34, Act 151 and FBI clearances.
· Must pass a physical and drug test.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
· Prior teaching and/or supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
· Ability to communicate in English and Spanish
