Advertising Coordinator is responsible for the conceptual design, creation, and delivery of advertising campaigns through media channels, including digital, social, print, and broadcast. Analyzes stakeholder requirements and defines objectives for advertising. Being an Advertising Coordinator develops audience targeting and strategy. Organizes assigned project tasks and timelines that ensure on-time delivery of projects. Additionally, Advertising Coordinator incorporates processes to ensure advertising quality, consistency, and effective branding. Coordinates with vendors to design and deliver promotional materials aligned with marketing campaigns and events. Monitors campaigns and analyzes performance to make recommendations or recalibrate based on results. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Advertising Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Responsible for trafficking of media and advertising jobs through production and distribution to include, but not limited to, casino signage, advertising collateral, printed material, broadcast media and electronic media. The Advertising Coordinator will curate all media buys and maintain a placement schedule encompassing Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel.

    Responsibilities:

    • Functions to bring structure, consistency and organization to multi-faceted marketing projects through coordination and ad trafficking.
    • Supports the Advertising Manager to develop and execute strategic marketing plans, media plans and ad campaigns.
    • Assists in managing budgets to provide support with advertising, community relations and entertainment departments. Coordinate, support and engage activities within agreed budget.
    • Coordinates and communicates with internal and external resources to assign tasks, follow up on deadlines, etc.
    • Responsible for all ordering, receiving and distribution of casino signage, advertising collateral, and printed materials to internal staff and external audiences.
    • Write, edit and proofread for projects including, but not limited to, television and radio advertisements, press releases, print collateral, web copy, signage and featured articles.
    • Acts as a contact person with vendors and media, assisting with communication, coordination and traffic with vendors and media.
    • Ensure that all signage, billboards, advertising and collateral is updated on a regular basis, is current and accurate and is stocked at the appropriately designated areas.
    • Prepare, order and distribute internal communications, such as posters, fliers and other collateral for distribution to Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel staff.
    • Monitors competitive and marketing activities. Oversees and evaluates market research to assist in developing marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
    • Organizes the production of promotional and collateral materials.
    • Any other assigned duties and responsibilities.


    Minimum Requirements:

    • Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
    • Associate’s degree preferred in Business, Communications or Advertising related field. Will substitute experience in lieu of education on a year by year basis.
    • Minimum of two years’ experience in an administrative or media role.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management.
    • Must have advanced computer capabilities and skills.
    • General knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • General knowledge of various media files, programs and production techniques.
    • Possess strong time management skills to consistently meet deadlines, set priorities for tasks and projects, and maintain composure during busy times.
    • Ability to manage relations with internal and external resources (i.e. vendors).
    • Supports front of house promotional execution; maintains flexible work hours per business needs.
    • Ability to effectively present information clearly and describe casino programs and promotions to customers.
    • Has working knowledge of policy and procedures and gaming regulations.
    • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program.
    • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming Regulatory Commission key gaming license.
    • Must be 21 years of age.
