Full-time, surgical coordinator position in a private, high-volume, growing Orthopedic Practice.
Essential Responsibilities
-Schedules patient surgeries, reviews patient history and prepares patient information for hospitals, and surgical centers
-Communicates all pre-op information to the patient, including need for necessary clearances or pre-operative testing
-Works closely with authorizations team to assure patient’s surgery is authorized prior to surgery
-Effectively communicates directly with physicians and PAs regarding patient surgeries
Education and Work Experience
Applicants must hold a current license or certification (CMA, LPN, PBT, ATC-L etc.) The ability to work independently and multi-task is a must. Must be comfortable booking patients in person and via phone. Excellent computer skills, and organizations skills are required. Applicant must be able to use independent judgement and have some knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes. Excellent customer service skills and communication skills are required.
