Advertising Sales Director directs and develops the strategy, plans, and tactics required to create advertising concepts and campaigns that deliver results and meet organizational objectives. Oversees the budget, expenditures, and resource allocation for all advertising campaigns. Being an Advertising Sales Director identifies media channels and directs the placement of all advertisements and the development of promotional materials. Ensures consistent and effective branding and messaging in all forms of advertisements. Additionally, Advertising Sales Director uses metrics and data analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and assess return on investment. Fosters innovation of new advertising methods and initiatives using advertising industry experience and competitive intelligence. Requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Advertising Sales Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Job Description / Your Challenge

    As our Director of Advertising Sales, you'll be leading the charge in acquiring new clients. You'll pitch our proven ad inventory that has been consistently generating ROI for our existing clients month after month, year after year.

    You will be given an opportunity to leverage our existing network of US-based financial publishers.

    You will also be tasked with building relationships with wealth managers, IFAs, brokers, banks, fundraising platforms (incl Reg A, Reg CF etc)Β  and other financial institutions.

    This role requires a hunter mentality and hunter work ethic.

    Responsibilities:

    • Sell / upsell our advertising inventory to our extensive financial publishing client bases (we have some of the best reputation in the industry)
    • Sell our ad inventory to wealth managers, IFAs, brokers, banks, fundraising platforms (we don’t have a presence in this space yet and you will be expected to either bring your pre-existing relationships or build new ones)
    • Become well versed in our industry-leading offering across our main verticals (finance, health and wellness)
    • Demonstrate clear ability to prospect and drive acquisition of new relationships
    • Connect with and gain interest from decision-makers who own advertising budget
    • Monitor the revenue pipeline and lead flow, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth
    • Pitch solutions, not products; comfortable securing prospective clients' ad budgets and ROI goals
    • Monitor the marketplace and spot both sales and strategic partnership opportunities
    • Represent our company at industry events to win new clients and nurture existing ones
    • Maintain accurate and updated CRM data
