About the Role:
As our Enhanced Role: AVP Major Gifts and Campaign Director, you'll be at the forefront of our fundraising efforts, driving initiatives to raise $10 million per year. Your responsibilities will include:
Personal Prospect Management: Cultivate relationships with approximately 125 individuals capable of making significant contributions to the college, guiding them through the giving process with finesse and enthusiasm.
Strategic Outreach: Develop and implement strategic outreach and programming for major gift donors, ensuring each donor feels valued and connected to the community.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of seven direct reports, overseeing their professional development and empowering them to exceed their goals.
Candidate Profile:
We're seeking a candidate who embodies our mission and values, with:
Proven Experience: 5-7 years of experience in higher education advancement or independent school advancement, with a track record of soliciting gifts at the $50,000 and above level.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead by example, exceed goals, and inspire a team to do the same.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is essential, with a preference for intermediate knowledge of Blackbaud Raisers Edge NXT.
Flexibility and Willingness to Travel: Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel within New England (and occasionally beyond).
