The Aerial Port Team Chief (APTC) is responsible for the planning and organization of simulated air transportation activities, including determining the supplies, equipment, facilities and personnel needed to properly utilize the Fuselage Trainer (FuT). The APTC will establish procedures for loading and unloading of cargo on the FuT, implement any necessary safety precautions for handling dangerous materials, special cargo, and oversee/conduct the movement of cargo and baggage around the FuT. Duties include on-loading/off-loading via Material Handling Equipment, securing cargo, determining orientation of cargo, determine center of balance of oversized/outsized cargo, building palletized loads, and completing load plans.
While performing the duties of this job, the teammate is regularly required to sit, use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The teammate must occasionally lift and/or move heavy objects. The teammate must be able to climb stairs to the FuT. The teammate must have close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
