Utility Crew Member

ACP Fiber Services is a national provider of professional communication services to the telecommunication and utility industry for network infrastructure buildouts and ongoing network maintenance. We are looking for a Utility Crew Member for full-time work out of our Columbia, SC office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Hand dig and back fill trenches
• Cable handling, ISP and OSP
• Carry and load materials to be used on the job
• Operate small hand tools
• Provide ground support for backhoe and drill operators
• Light repair and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Wash and clean equipment and vehicles
• Drive company vehicle to and from job site

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be physically able to endure the daily activity involved with the job
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain
• Willing to work overtime as required
• Previous experience in cable/utility installation preferred
• Class A CDL preferred (Higher wage offered to Class A CDL holders)
