Affordable Engineering Services, Inc. Is a company based in Mission Valley CA, we primarily cater to Service Type contracts with DoD, in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul.

We are Looking for an Aerial Operations Manager to lead our team with the Maintenance, Operation, and Depot Support for Aerial and Seaborne Assets (MOASA). The place of performance for this task is primarily based out of Naval Base Ventura County under the Pacific Target and Marine Operations Division (PTMO), Threat / Target Systems Department (TTSD) and Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) and Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).

The mission of PTMO is to equip, maintain, transport, and operate aerial and seaborne targets for the Fleet, test programs, Joint and Coalition partners. PTMO employs subject matter expertise to operate targets, rapidly introduce new target types and deploy worldwide to meet urgent target requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The position of Aerial Operations Manager requires a high school diploma and a minimum of five years’ direct experience in Department of Defense (DoD) management and oversight of aviation vehicle maintenance in accordance with Navy maintenance programs such as those directed by NAMP and NOMP, and Experience directing teams to a successful conclusion in compliance with operational safety and regulations specified by federal and local authority.
• Provides daily oversight of all functional and operational activities of aircraft and assists the Site Manager with daily operations to meet contract requirements.
• Must have been a Maintenance Controller for minimum of two (2) years with previous documented “Safe for Flight” authority.
• Must have completed the Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management for Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activities (OOMA) course (C-555-0053) or both the Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management course (D or E-555-0040) and the Naval Aviation Officer and Senior Supervisor NALCOMIS OOMA Familiarization course (D or E-555-0054).
• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate
• Must have knowledge of computerized maintenance programs (OOMA)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S Citizen
• Prior experience in Aviation Organizational Maintenance Activity.
• Must pass pre-employment background check
• Must pass pre-employment drug test
• Must be a U.S Citizen

Preferred Qualification:

• Active Secret Clearance
• Knowledge and familiarity with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP)
• Must have completed the Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management for Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activities (OOMA) course (C-555-0053) or both the Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management course (D or E-555-0040) and the Naval Aviation Officer and Senior Supervisor NALCOMIS OOMA Familiarization course (D or E-555-0054).
