Aerospace Engineer researches and develops structural engineering specifications for aerospace products, parts, or associated operations to improve the efficiency and reliability of aerospace systems. Analyzes results of stress tests on various craft and missile parts to determine material durability and tolerances. Being an Aerospace Engineer oversees flight tests of prototypes and analyzes resulting data to validate flight characteristics and identify necessary improvements. Conducts calculations and utilizes simulations to evaluate aerodynamics, structural integrity, propulsion efficiency, and the effect on fuel consumption of new or existing materials. Additionally, Aerospace Engineer utilizes CAE, 3-D, and digital modeling to create detailed plans and specifications to support production. Assists quality assurance and purchasing teams with the evaluation of new or existing suppliers, products and materials, or technologies. Understands and complies with all federal regulatory requirements and specifications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Aerospace Engineer work is closely managed.     Duties & Responsibilities


    -The Facilities Engineer under general direction, recommends approaches to building HVAC System Design, control systems, operations, and maintenance.
    -Provides technical leadership in developing, planning, and managing building design and construction projects.
    - Prepares plans and specifications for facility projects.
    -Prepares preliminary designs and project cost estimates.
    -Teams with engineers and project managers on special projects.
    -Provides technical leadership within workgroups or projects as required.
    -Reviews drawings, specifications and procedures for accuracy and acceptability.
    - Reviews construction management schedules and budget processes.
    -May direct construction projects, or other projects such as office layouts, relocation of furniture and equipment, etc.


    - 40% - Construction inspection for required conformance

    - 20% - Assist in preparing project drawings, specifications and scope-of-work

    - 20% - Assist in estimating project costs and/or prepare capital expenditure requests

    - 10% - Preparing purchase requisitions for respective projects, tracking project costs, and other administration matters

    - 10% - Other required duties as assigned.



    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
    - We are seeking a Facilities Engineer (Senior to Specialist) to join the team at our growing facility near Camden, AR.

    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION:

    - Project planning and management of schedule and cost experience

    - Proficiency with AutoCAD

    - Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.

    - Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.

    - Strong verbal, written and presentation communications skills.



    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc.) in a safe manner. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels or with fume or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc. requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as face protection (safety glasses, goggles, face shield), foot protection (i.e. steel toed shoes, rubber boots, etc.), gloves, hard hat, shop coat and hearing protection. Some positions may require Respirator clearance up to and including the Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Level A clearance. Work requires the ability to change into or out of personal protective equipment when entering or exiting manufacturing, laboratory, or other areas. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. Work duties may also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer and/or the ability to travel by air or auto. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. This position may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.

    EDUCATION:
    Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline plus at least five (5) years of directly related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).


    OTHER REQUIREMENTS
    Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. Driver's License Requirement: Some positions may require possession of a valid driver's license. Employees who drive on company business to carry out job-related duties must possess a valid driver's license for the class of vehicle driven and meet automobile insurability requirements of the Company.
