Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Duties:
- Perform auto body repairs and restoration on a variety of vehicles
- Conduct thorough inspections to assess the extent of damage
- Use power tools and hand tools to remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections
- Repair or replace damaged body parts, including panels, fenders, and bumpers
- Weld and fabricate metal as needed for repairs
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and masking
- Apply paint using proper techniques to achieve a seamless finish
- Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in auto body repair and restoration
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and automotive repair techniques
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade
- Familiarity with auto estimating software is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical specifications
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
