We operate an executive charter business with our Part 135 Charter Certificate through CI Jets. We have a Part 145 Repair Station for maintenance and a Part 141 Approved Pilot School. These certificates and approvals make CIA unique as we are the only business at the Camarillo Airport to enjoy all these approvals under one roof.
The Position
The Aicraft Mechanic position will be reporting to the Director of Maintenance and will be responsible to perform required repairs, and preventative maintenance under the FAA Part 145 Repair Station in order to support the FAA Part 141 flight training aircraft. Additionally, Channel Islands primary customers consist of Textron Cessna/Beechcraft, Cirrus owners. This person is involved in the full life-cycle of maintenance including planning the maintenance scheduling and determining strategic priorities to maximize up time of the fleet, A&D research / compliance, parts research and ordering, troubleshooting, general wrench turning for things like tire / oil changes, 100 hr. and annual inspections, addressing pilot squawks, complete overhauls, maintaining aircraft logbooks and communicating as needed with front office staff to provide status updates / maintenance schedule updates so the aircraft availability schedule is as accurate as can be projected and changes as needed to reflect actual work time, parts lead times / delays, etc. MUST HAVE PREVIOUS AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE EXPIERENCE AS AN AIRCRAFT MECHANIC.
