    What we are looking for:

    Conti is looking for an experienced and driven Structure Foreman for our US 17 Hampstead Bypass project In Hampstead, NC who can manage the structure and The Sound Wall operations as required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plans, assigns, directs, and oversees activities of designated crew to ensure that production goals and objectives of project or task are accomplished safely within prescribed time frame and contractual requirements.
    • Perform proper placement of Precast Elements for Sound Walls.
    • Perform proper placement of Girders, Overhang, Rebar Cages, Decking, Etc.
    • Erect Columns, cast in place Footings & Caps, Built and Erect Wood & Metal Forms as required.
    • Ensures all the material is properly staged in order to maintain productivity.
    • Performs pre-task meetings with work crew to ensure safe work practices, procedures and hazards are identified within the scope of the crew s work assignment.
    • Effectively communicates with project team daily regarding planning, materials, and logistics.
    • Establishes and enforces job site policies, procedures, and standards of performance within boundaries of company policy.
    • Exercises judgement and uses discretion to troubleshoot and problem solve issues as they may arise throughout the course of the work.
    • Completes daily Foreman Report, tracks, and logs daily payroll records, verifies accuracy, and submits in a timely manner.
    • Orders and verify all materials necessary to complete the day s task are on site and correct.
    • Anticipates and solves problems.
    • Trains employees on proper use of equipment, improving job performance, controlling cost and quality of work, increasing productivity, improving communication and housekeeping on project.
    • Evaluates performance of employees and makes timely recommendations for promotions and disciplinary actions as may be required.
    • Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction in bridge/heavy highway construction as a Lead Pile driver, Lead Carpenter, or Structure Foreman
    • Supervisory experience is required.
    • Pile driving experience preferred.
    • Ability to lift construction materials exceeding 50 lbs.
    • Ability to resolve problems and make appropriate and timely decisions.
    • Ability to properly access and evaluate workers performance and workmanship.
    • Ability to operate various powered construction equipment as well as powered and non-powered tools.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
    • Ability to work independently, within a team and lead a team and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
    • Ability to walking, stand, climb, squat, bend and twist continually and for long periods of time
    • A thorough knowledge about safety precautions while working.
    • Work requires exposure to construction site environments having extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, hazardous substances, and loud noise levels.
    • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
    • Provide personal transportation to and from the jobsite.
