Aircraft Electrician jobs in Columbus, GA

Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     About this role:
    We are currently looking for Apprentice and Licensed Commercial Journeyman to work on commercial electrical construction projects. Experience in commercial remodels / rollouts is a plus.

    You can live in any city in the Southeast or Midwest and we pay for you to travel to job site.


    Compensation:
    • $20.00 - $36.00 per hour strong benefits
      • Depends on hours and level of License
    • Travel expenses paid.
    Travel:
    • 75% on average. Most projects are in Texas, Florida and the Southeast United States.
    • All expenses are paid along with per diem.
    Requirements:
    • State Apprentice (or equivalent) or  Electrical Journeyman license.
    • Must have a valid driver's license.
    • Experienced in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and drawings.
    • Experience with running conduit, wire and terminate devices.
    • Perform quality control testing and troubleshooting.
    • Working knowledge of installing electrical systems in a remodel/open store setting
    • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy objects.
    • Ability to work in various angles or surfaces, such as climbing ladders.
    • Possession of reliable transportation and basic hand tools
    • Availability to work nights and weekends.
