Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     Wages $19.50- 25.25/hour

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for applying primer, basecoat, and clear coat to aircraft exterior surfaces. Application method can include cup gun, pressure pot or pressure fed by a Graco P-Mix machine. Regulates paint sprayer width and pressure according to manufacturer’s technical process instructions. Mixes coating systems, using catalyst, accelerants and reducing solvents. Identifies, repairs, and troubleshoots paint defects. Maintains and cleans paint booth, part holding fixtures, and paint application equipment. Strictly adheres to personal protective equipment requirements. Follows MSDS, technical data sheets and hazardous waste disposal procedures. Uses written planning documents and Process Specifications to ensure accurate paint application and exterior paint design.

    Qualifications:

    One year technical school in Auto Body/Paint or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Education:

    High School Diploma or GED required.
