Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     In this unique role, we are hiring for an experienced Electrician to initially join our manufacturing facility in Eugene, OR and then relocate to our Dayton, OH Corporate facilities within 6 month of hire!

     

    This Electrician role will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and systems. It requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. The candidate must be professional, technical, and mechanically proficient.

     

    Core Responsibilities:

     

    • Duties include working with Plant Manager on projects to support operations, maintenance, testing, IR scans, spare parts inventory, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical switchgear, diesel generator continuous power systems, motors, VFDs, PLCs, FLS, and assorted projects.
    • Apply electrical skills while working as part of team to support plant operations including cooling towers, boilers, chillers, cooling water, compressors, abatement systems, air handlers, HVAC, chemical/gas distribution, Fire Life Safety, RODI, and on-site treatment.
    • Self-starter, have a willingness to learn, and ability to work unsupervised
    • Practice good time management.
    • Performs other duties, as requested; must be willing and able to adapt to changing demands of the facilities maintenance department and fulfill any job that is required.

    Basic & Preferred Qualifications:


    • Relocation to Dayton, OH within 6 months of employment start date with company is required.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating and maintaining a large industrial plant required
    • Must possess a valid Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrician license or higher
    • 2 years of experience operating and maintaining a large industrial plant required.
    • Ability to demonstrate electro-mechanical aptitude, understand and make decisions based on technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, or instructions.
    • Motivated to work on their own and as part of a team
    • The ability to read, understand, and follow environmental and safety regulations as they pertain to designated tasks.
    • Must have basic computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, and e-mail.
