Aircraft Electrician jobs in Ogden, UT

Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     • Install, maintain, and repair various electrical systems and equipment.
    • Oversee all field aspects of electrical projects.
    • Follow safety codes and building regulations.
    • Communicates effectively orally, in writing, and electronically.
    • Reads and works from blueprints, technical manuals, charts, and schematics.
    • Creates schematics in the event they are not available, or on new builds.
    • Maintain accurate records and reports on completed assignments.
    • Performs any other related duties as assigned.
    • Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships.

    • The employee must exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
