Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Residential Electrician is responsible for performing Electrical Service and Sales on a variety of electrical systems and equipment. Depending on experience, Residential Electricians will perform repairs and/ or replace systems, (IE…meter main panels, sub panels, outlet and switch repair and replacement, circuit repair, attic and crawl work and advanced troubleshooting, ETC). When needed Residential Electricians will perform maintenance safety tune ups on electrical systems both as pre-paid plans as well as new customers
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
● Performing service/sales call and/ or repairs on all or part of any residential or light commercial electrical system
● Troubleshooting on a variety of different Electrical system issues. Be able to identify the issue and educate the customer. Presenting the customer with 3 options to resolve the issue. These options can range from regular maintenance of the system, repairs, replacement of a part or the equipment as a whole.
● Performing maintenance safety tune ups on residential electrical systems. Including main and sub panels, device and lighting inspections as well as attic and crawl inspections.
● Providing excellent customer services to introduce or continue the customers experience while dealing with our company and our core values.
● Strong understanding of how Electrical systems or equipment should optimally work.
● Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform the required repair or install.
● Identify HVAC issues (ductwork concerns, equipment condition) and call in to the office to get one of our HVAC technicians scheduled out to evaluate as a referral.
● Identify Plumbing issues and call in to the office to get one of our Plumbers scheduled out to evaluate as a referral.
● Educate customers on their new systems and operations of their equipment.
● Complying with safety regulations and maintaining a clean and orderly work areas.
● Performing other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
● High school diploma/GED
● At least 2 years’ experience in the Electrical service field or Trade school.
● Maintain ET card/CE credits for Journeyman License
● Able to follow directions, read electrical schematics, and site plan/blueprint drawings.
● Good oral and written communication skills.
● Must be able to use an iPad effectively, we are a paperless company, and everything is done on an iPad.
● Clean driving record.
● Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
