Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking an Electrician to join our team at our Port Arthur Location. This position will provide technical level installation, maintenance and service of electrical systems. #HPCP
Responsibilities
These tasks involve the use of diagnostic, hand, and power tools and require the individual to possess the ability to read and interpret manuals, standards, schematics, wiring diagrams and federal, state and local codes and regulations.
May be required to perform minor electrical design work for small project and must use a variety of safety and personal protective equipment.
Additionally, this position requires excellent interpersonal skills; verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to complete assigned projects in a safe and timely manner.
Physical requirements for this position include : climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, pushing, pulling and performing a wide range of physical activities while working at various heights.
The successful candidate will be required to work overtime on occasion and respond to call out rotation, which includes occasional night and weekend work.
