Position Description
The Maintenance Coordinator at Hi-Wire Brewing is responsible for the upkeep and continual maintenance on machinery to ensure it is functioning safely, properly, and efficiently, while also maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace. This person will be responsible for creating and managing a preventative maintenance schedule as well as prioritizing and completing all relevant maintenance tasks in a timely manner. . This position will also act as a fill-in for other positions within the brewery production team, stepping in as needed and taking on small projects to help ensure the continual productivity of the production process. This is a non-exempt, permanent, full-time position. In order to help ensure all aspects of this position are performed as expected, measurable metrics will be provided along with regularly scheduled performance reviews. This position reports to the Director of Brewing Operations.
Responsibilities
● Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to relevant schedules
● Maintain and log maintenance schedules and SOPs
● Troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery
● Attend to building systems maintenance needs as they arise
● Plan, price out, procure, and complete repairs
● Work with vendors and contractors to complete projects when necessary
● Help to organize warehouse
● Carry out inspections of the facilities/machinery to identify and resolve issues before they arise
● Drive a fork truck/scissor lift
● Follow safe practices at all times
● Work with management team to ensure clean and sanitary equipment and working environment
● Work with safety committee to improve processes that contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
● Drive continual improvement - actively anticipate needs and troubleshoot potential problems before they arise
● Provide continuous process improvement and efficiencies within maintenance operations by enhancing existing procedures, developing new procedures, and documenting appropriate action items
● Create, maintain and audit all relevant standard operating procedures and checklists ● Assist with various tasks as needed on the production floor to assure continued productivity of the beer production process
● Cross train to provide cover for all brewing departments as needed
● Complete other tasks accurately as assigned by management within specified time frames
Qualifications

● Familiarity with Electrical systems, Glycol Chillers, air Compressors, Boilers, as well as automation and PLC technology
● Proven experience in brewery maintenance or other similar role
● Experience in planning maintenance operations
● Solid understanding of technical aspects of brewery operations
● General understanding of the overall brewing and packaging process
● Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
● Ability to weld/basic welding skills preferred
● Ability to work with project management

● Demonstrated problem solving/analytical ability
● Strong communication skills

● A flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends

Physical Requirements:
○ Must be able to continually lift 65 pounds
○ Must have the ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, work from heights, stoop, kneel and crouch
○ The ability to work near moving parts and machinery
○ The ability to work in loud, wet, cold, hot, indoor and outdoor environments frequently
