Aircraft Maintenance Manager manages engineering tasks involving changes or alterations to designs or specifications of aircraft parts, modules, or systems to ensure calibration and safety. Implements procedures to guide the routine inspection of aircraft components to facilitate optimal and reliable functionality. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Manager oversees the scheduling and timely completion of repairs and maintenance ensuring budget adherence. Reviews documented issues and reports to determine repairability and evaluates recommendations for replacements, repairs, or modifications to ensure conformance with safety standards and performance requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Manager evaluates aircraft data and technical documents and researches new technologies to identify areas to improve practices or processes. Develops internal policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with federal aviation regulations and safety standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Aircraft Maintenance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Aircraft Maintenance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on corporate aircraft.


    Responsibilities:

    • Perform regular scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, including AOG situations.
    • Inspect engines, wings, propellers, and other parts for defects.
    • Read and utilize maintenance manuals and other approved documents for troubleshooting and repairs.
    • Install new parts efficiently and to specifications.
    • Complete tasks within designated time frames and quality standards.
    • Conduct troubleshooting on avionics and electrical systems.
    • Collaborate with other mechanics to repair engines and parts.
    • Order necessary supplies, equipment, and parts for maintenance.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 2 years of experience with corporate business jets preferred.
    • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Ability to obtain a U.S. Passport or equivalent within 90 days of starting.
    • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Possess adequate tools for the job.
    • Good organizational skills.
     
    Working Conditions:
    • Physical strength and manual dexterity required for operating tools.
    • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
    • Comfort working on scaffolding, ladders, and lifts.
    • Specific vision abilities required for equipment inspection.
    • Moderate noise level in work environment.
