Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for responding to tenant repair requests promptly and efficiently, as well as performing a wide range of handyman tasks. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Duties:

• Respond to tenant repair requests in a timely manner and address issues effectively.
• Perform a variety of handyman tasks such as minor plumbing repairs, appliance repair, painting and carpentry.
• Conduct routine inspections of rental units to identify maintenance needs and address them proactively.
• Assist in turning units between tenants, which may include laying down flooring, painting, hanging cabinets, installing doors, and other renovation tasks.
• Assist with manual labor, lawn maintenance and snow removal when necessary.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed to high-quality standards and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including materials used and hours worked.
• Communicate effectively with property managers, tenants, and other team members to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure tenant satisfaction.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance issues.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or Handyman, preferably in a residential property management setting.
• Strong technical skills in various trades including plumbing, carpentry and general repair
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
