Aircraft Maintenance Manager manages engineering tasks involving changes or alterations to designs or specifications of aircraft parts, modules, or systems to ensure calibration and safety. Implements procedures to guide the routine inspection of aircraft components to facilitate optimal and reliable functionality. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Manager oversees the scheduling and timely completion of repairs and maintenance ensuring budget adherence. Reviews documented issues and reports to determine repairability and evaluates recommendations for replacements, repairs, or modifications to ensure conformance with safety standards and performance requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Manager evaluates aircraft data and technical documents and researches new technologies to identify areas to improve practices or processes. Develops internal policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with federal aviation regulations and safety standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Aircraft Maintenance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Aircraft Maintenance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. RESPONSIBILITIES :
Aircraft Maintenance Technician, maintains the company's aircraft by performing intermediate and heavy maintenance tasks on turbine powered aircraft.
Ensuring all aircraft maintenance records and associated documents to include all company forms and AAIP checklists, equipment manufacturer's forms and checklists, and parts approval documents are completed, processed, and maintained in accordance with the company General Maintenance Manual and applicable 14 CFR regulations.
Providing after-hours maintenance on-call support for the regional operational bases as directed.
Maintaining Company owned tools and ground support equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS :
FAA Airframe and Powerplant License or willing to obtain within 18-36 months
0-2 years experience maintaining turboprop and turbine powered aircraft
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and component
Ability and willingness to work after hours and weekend when needed to support aircraft out of service events
Possess a good working knowledge of computers, MS Windows 8 / 10 operating system and associated programs (Microsoft Office Suite 2016 & Office 365)
