SUMMARY:

The Piasecki Aircraft Corporation Operations team is seeking a motivated Procurement Manager to support new business growth objectives by meeting procurement and supply chain needs. This position is responsible for purchasing research related goods and services, thereby facilitating PiAC’s cutting-edge technology development with suppliers, in support of future PiAC aerospace products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts, manages and maintains synchronization of a supply chain for obtaining goods and services for the company
• Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
• Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
• Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions.
• Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.
• Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions.
• Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
• Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
• Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / CLEARANCES:

• 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. 
• University degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

• 3 years of experience interpreting and/or enforcing contract terms and conditions (required)
• 3 years of experience with Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processes (required)
• 3 years of experience using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables (required)
• Knowledge of negotiation and contracting processes (preferred)
• Knowledge of contract structure, Terms and Conditions (preferred)
• Experience in Government Sub-Contracts (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or other related field, or relevant work or military experience (preferred)
• Experience negotiating complex contracts (preferred)
• 3 years of experience managing supplier relationships, strategic partnerships and supplier performance (preferred)
• 3 years of experience creating & leading Requests for Proposals (RFPs) (preferred)
• Experience leading teams in a cross-functional environment (preferred)
• Experience building positive working relationships (preferred)
• Experience using Deltek Costpoint Materials Module (preferred)
