Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises the maintenance operations of aircraft airframes and engines to ensure safe and reliable performance. Oversees routine servicing and preventative maintenance to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor evaluates technical requirements to determine the tradeoffs between the repair versus the replacement of components and the effect on cost and safety. Implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor informs and trains aircraft mechanics on current information from manufacturers and regulatory bodies. Coordinates and schedules inspections and follow-up tasks to ensure timely completion. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: |

· Fosters and promotes Safety as a core element of the Maintenance Department. · Ensures that procedures outlined in the General Maintenance Manual are followed and executed. · Ensures that complete and accurate records are maintained. · Under direct supervision, executes standard aircraft maintenance tasks in a timely and safe manner, including repairs, modifications, and replacements. · Prepares various maintenance reports and summaries including performance metrics. · Validates discrepancy coding in the M&E system and corrects where necessary. · Communicates effecitely with other maintenance personnel at all levels keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise. · Effectively complete on-the-job (OJT) forms and any required reading and training · Attendance is considered an essential responsibility. · Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
