Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises the maintenance operations of aircraft airframes and engines to ensure safe and reliable performance. Oversees routine servicing and preventative maintenance to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor evaluates technical requirements to determine the tradeoffs between the repair versus the replacement of components and the effect on cost and safety. Implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor informs and trains aircraft mechanics on current information from manufacturers and regulatory bodies. Coordinates and schedules inspections and follow-up tasks to ensure timely completion. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Location : Waterloo IA 50701, On-site
Pay Range : $30-35 / hr. on w2, without benefits
Shift : either 2nd (2 : 30 pm to 11 pm) or 3rd shift (10 : 30 pm to 7 am)
Overtime is likely either on weekends or extended weekday hours.

The supervisor is the first-line liaison between the production employees and the management staff and thus also serves the function of representing the company's interests with the shop floor staff.
Duties : Establishes employee environment regarding communications, feedback and overall guidance.
Ensures that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully do their job.
Monitors Control Plans, troubleshoots workmanship problems and generally supervises production activities to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed all established quality requirements.
Administers employee policies, practices, procedures and work rules appropriate for the unit.
Interviews will be conducted either onsite or via MS Teams. Position will start onsite on the first day. Business casual dress code.
Safety shoes with internal metatarsal protection and prescription safety glasses (if needed) are required for first day.
There is a possibility the person will drive their personal vehicle to other Waterloo locations for meetings.
May also drive a company owned Gator on the shop floor after completing safety training.
