Description

Objective:

Assist in the Service and maintain of all Company owned vehicles to ensure that they are working properly and safely. Receives supervision from the Lead Mechanic to ensure work flow is maintained and time lined. He reports to the Fleet and Facility Manager.

Responsibilities/Expectations

• Closes warehouse and maintenance yard every evening – Tuesday- Saturday.
• Report to Lead Mechanic to determine if there are any pick up or drop off vehicles/tractors/trailers at Ford, Toyota, Ryder, or Mickey bodies.
• Perform service on any vehicles/trucks, as required and diagnose or troubleshoot vehicles with any difficulties.
• Maintain and stock parts and accessories for vehicles or tractor trailers. (Filters, blades, etc.)
• Check DVR sheets for any needed repairs from the morning. Repair, if needed, prior to my leaving in the evening. Also check the night DVR for any necessary repairs.
• Return to shop and pre-close, including locking gates, shutting off gas pumps, emptying trash cans into the dumpster. Transport to the NW 44^TH facility the mail, tap handles and P.O.S. signs, etc. at 7pm every night.
• Transport or swap tractors and trailers as needed.
• Return to the warehouse and complete any DVR write-ups. Then return to the shop and complete any unfinished jobs, as required.
• Compile receipts and paperwork that I performed during my shift to the Lead Mechanic.
• Close up the facility, turning off lights, lock up the shop, lock the gates and go into the office at 500 N.W. 27^TH Ave. to lock up and set the alarm.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Reliable transportation to and from work while maintaining a valid Class A driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel to our Tallahassee Location as needed.
• Maintain appropriate dress (uniform) and personal appearance standards (dress policy).

• Able to pass drug and background check.
• Able to lift, bend, stoop, climb and reach.
• Ability to lift 50-100lbs.
• Ability to work Holidays if needed

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
