Aircraft Mechanic Assistant maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots aircraft components to ensure safe and reliable performance. Conducts routine servicing to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Aircraft Mechanic Assistant utilizes a variety of tools and equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine malfunctioning parts of aircraft engines and assemblies. Follows company protocols to maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization within the hangar or workshop. Additionally, Aircraft Mechanic Assistant recommends part changes or adjustments to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Maintains accurate records of services and procedures performed and documents and reports issues, concerns, and unusual wear or damage of parts. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Aircraft Mechanic Assistant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Worldwide Aircraft Services, inc is an FAA Approved Repair Station seeking experienced - A&P Mechanics Who can independently perform repairs and maintenance tasks, keeping the aircraft working safely and efficiently to ensure Airworthiness FAA Standards.
Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, wings and fuselage, and functional components using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Perform routine inspections per manufacturer and/or operator maintenance programs and provide detailed discrepancy listings for each inspection.
